The Ashoka Math Apprenticeship Programme was started in Summer 2023 as an adjunct to the Lodha Genius Programme (LGP)), open to all interested TAs. The programme included a problem solving seminar, consisting of the problem sets (on Number Theory and Geometry) used in the LGP. In addition, many students wrote an expository article on a topic they are interested in, which they have not studied yet. The design of this programme is modelled on parts of Chicago’s Math REU. The mentors in 2023 were Gaurav Bhatnagar (Ashoka) and Sagar Shrivastava (TIFR).
In the summer of 2024, we expect to expand the program to include students from outside Ashoka. This time only the students who were chosen as interns were invited to write an article. In 2024, there will be internship positions for students who can take part in this programme and then subsequently be eligible for internship positions in LGP.
